Making Ready for Ilula

The Students and First-Half Faculty are nearly set to go to Ilula.  Departure date for most is January 7.  I imagine nearly all are scrambling to get their final details corralled.  It is difficult to get a handle on the fact we have been planning for this now over a year.  The pharmacy students, Emily M., Grace T. and Sarah L. have all known they were included since before we went this past January.  Now the 2016 pharmacy students are making ready to go a year from now also: Aaron C., Joy H., Katilin K.  Our med students are Jessica Q. and Rachel S.  Our pre-med student is Samantha B.  Rounding out the students are three third-year family medicine residents: Jenna and Steve C. and Theo E.  Staying at Iringa Orphans Program (IOP) are Emily and Laura K.

We have new and returning faculty too, but I won't name them just now.  All will be encouraged to contribute to this blog if they choose.  Yes, it is a big crew.  Please spread the word!

Thanks to Jessica and Linda A. and Mark R. went to MATTER Warehouse on Saturday and acquired some supplies for us, specifically sutures and a total of six boxes.  We hope we will have a few others at Global Health Ministries for a similar purpose.

Meanwhile, we are awaiting the return of the passports, sent out Monday to the Embassy of Tanzania in Washington DC for our visas.
